Ampledeed began as a series of late night jam sessions at Cal Arts College, in Southern California. Guitarists, horn players, keyboard players, percussionists and dancers would all meet up in the practice rooms, dance studios, art studios, in the main gallery, or wherever else we could get away with playing obscenely loud music, to work on our chops and improvisation skills. Players included Wylie Cable, Aaron Goldich, Max Taylor, Luis Flores, David Gillooly, Will Krepple, Colin Kupka, Spencer Ludwig, and many others. After many months of utilizing the Angeles Crest and the Mojave desert as rehearsal spaces, using gasoline generators to power our instruments, the group's creative forces split up to pursue seperate musical directions. Aaron Goldich, Max Taylor, and Luis Flores continued to hone riffage, reconstruct tunes and compose entirely new sections, and in time, recorded nearly an entire album, with the help of Isaac Watts (from The Source) on drums, and Cody Farwell (Snorlax) on Bass guitar. Currently, Goldich, Taylor and Luis are working to finish recording and mixing Ampledeed's debut record, "A Is For Ampledeed".
