B(if)tek is an electronic music duo originally from Canberra, Australia, comprising Kate Crawford and Nicole Skeltys. The pair have released three albums, the most recent in 2003.
"Biftek" comes from French "le biftek", which is borrowed from the English "beefsteak", while the English "beef" is originally from the French "le buf".
For their 2003 album Frequencies Will Move Together the band received a grant from the Federal Government to investigate the effects of low frequency sounds on people.
