Following on from their innovative explorations in Bali, Istanbul, Hawaii, Vietnam and Thailand the latest stopover in Blue Asia's music world travels is Morocco.
Blue Asia is the brainchild of Japanese producer Makoto Kubota.
In 2001 he started the Blue Asia project together with Malaysia's top arranger/ producer team, Mac Chew & Jenny Chin.
Hotel Morocco is their 7th album.
Previous albums are :Hotel Ibah (Bali), Hotel Waimea (Hawaii), Hotel Istanbul, Hotel Rechampur, Hotel Vietnam, Hotel Bangkok
Putumayo's WORLD LOUNGE and ASIAN LOUNGE, which contain songs by Blue Asia introduced the sound of Blue Asia worldwide.
In 2004 Hotel Vietnam became one of top 5 cds in World Music chart in Europe for 3 months.
In March, 2006 Hotel Bangkok was chosen as the CD of the month by Charlie Gillett and the album was one of top 10 CD on UK's Observer/Guardian paper. And Gillette picked a song from Hotel Bangkok album for WORLD 2006, the best world music compilation album.
