Dead Sea Apes are a three-piece instrumental group based in Manchester. PSince mid-2009 they have been developing a hard-hitting,PdynamicPblend of desert rock, drone, garage rock,Pkrautrock,Ppost-rock, western soundtracks and psychedelia.
TheirPdebut singlePSoy DiosPwas releasedPin December 2010, a nine-minute instrumental taking its inspiration from the MexicanPpsycho-Western film El Topo and backed by two equally epic remixes. They are currently working on a new EP.

As well as working as an instrumentalPtrio, Dead SeaPApes regularly collaborate with other musicians. Recent guests have included CanadianPsinger-songwriterPGabriel MinnikinPandPStray Light's Ellen Poliakoff.PPInPDecember 2010 they performed a one-off gig with legendary Can vocalistPDamo Suzuki.
