Информация об исполнителе
Deckchair Poets are a continuation/variation of the musicians who released the 2009 Jerusalem album, Escalator: Lynden Williams (vocals), Bob Cooke (guitars), Geoff Downes (keyboards), Nick DVirgilio (drums) and Dave Meros (bass guitar).
Ollie Hannifan (guitars) joined the line up prior to Escalators release.
Bob Cooke suffered a debilitating stroke in early 2010, and no longer plays guitar. He remains part of Jerusalem/Deckchair Poets fold with compositional contributions, via his music computer, and with his expressive artwork, which features on all releases from Who Needs Pyjamas? onwards.
The present line up is Lynden, Geoff, Nick, Ollie and Ashley Cutler (bass guitar).
The name Deckchair Poets was plucked from the ether when it became apparent that the quirky nature of the songs chosen for the album, Who Needs Pyjamas?, didnt conform to the accepted Jerusalem template of ROCKING PNEUMONIA, they were an entirely different virus.
Rest assured, whatever the contagion, songs will be popped into the appropriate bed, in the appropriate isolation ward (Deckchair Poets or Jerusalem), but will never ever be forced to wear pyjamas!
