El Pele

Manuel Moreno Maya, known as "El Pele", is a singer, born in Córdoba in 1954, in the district of San Pedro. From very humble family, toured the streets of Cordoba streets singing, flamenco clubs and fairs. Manuel Benitez "El Cordobes" to know, was the one who gave him his nickname. At fifteen Wins First Cayetano Muriel (1969) Competition and, after a few others, obtained in 1983, two first prizes of the National Flamenco Art Contest: "The Serneta" soleá and "Pastora Pavón" bulerías.

During the 1980s, "The Pele" was artistic couple Vicente Amigo, getting to share the stage with Camarón de la Isla. Stresses in soleá, Seguiriyas, bulerías, fandango and tonás.
