Mari Kvien Brunvoll

Only one solo performer at 12 Points 2010, and unlike previous editions, its not a pianist. Though shes yet to finish her graduate studies or release a CD. Molde born singer Mari Kvien Brunvoll has already created a major ripple of excitement on the Norwegian jazz scene, for she is a genuine original in the spirit of artists like Sidsel Endressen, with a voice that immediately captivates. Shes pursuing a singular path that also embraces projects for children and theatre, and her music is a personal expression that straddles jazz, electro pop and accoustic blues.
