Marian Varga

Mari‘n Vagra became a legend of Slovak and Czechoslovak popular music already more than three decades ago especially through his art rock group Collegium Musicum and the collaboration with Pavol Hammel in the group PrЄdy (Streams). His creative work was in the early seventies compared to the English groups "The Nice" and "Emerson, Lake and Palmer".
Besides the popular music which is better known to public, Mari‘n Varga was also dedicated to film and theater music during his creative period.
Lately he has been committed mostly to his solo concerts but also to film and theater music again. He has returned to the music scene after some silence caused by his health problems.
In his latest work he goes back to the inspirations and sources from which his work has grown - to the classical music. His fans can get acquainted only on his concerts with his latest work - Mari‘n Varga has not published an album for a long time. His concerts belong already traditionally to crowded happenings for his fans not only from the middle and older generations but also from the younger one.

Vo svojej najnovej tvorbe sa v­raznejie vracia k inpir‘ci‘m a zdrojom, z ktor­ch jeho tvorba vych‘dzala ku klasickej hudbe. Jeho najnoviu tvorbu mohli fanЄikovia doposiaо spozna len na jeho koncertoch Mari‘n Varga u. dlho nevydal .iadny album.
