Mark Tower, also known as Marco Torre (real name Marco Silingardi), born in Mantova in 22 February 1959.
He started djing on 1973 on Pioneer turntables given by his beloved father, during secondary upper schools. After graduating as an accounting manager, he perfected his skills when attending a local recording studio of a friend for two years; in late 70s finally started his career as professional DJ, attending various discos in northern Italy. He notably was a resident of "Patio" in Marmirolo (MN) until late 1982, then started as a main DJ in "Discoteca Sayonara" in Castel Goffredo (MN) from late 1982 to early 1985, until he quitted the DJ scene.
It was known giving away some vinyls when gigging, by using them as a frisbee, and his legendary skill in mixing with three Technics SP-15 (with SH-15B3 base and SME 3 tonearm), speaking and echoing with a reel to reel tape was unprecedented at the time and still hard to come in current vinyl DJs.
