Информация об исполнителе
Marta Mus is a polish author, composer and singer. At age three she began to play piano and sing. She studied classical piano from age six playing composers such as Beethoven, Mozart, and Chopin and enrolled in the POSM in Bielsko-Biala (PL) at the age of 9 and later get graduated from. She arrived to Belgium to continue and finish her piano studies in Brussels Conservatory where she brightly obtained a first prize in both, piano and vocal jazz. Mus began her performing career as a piano solo artist while she was studying. Soon jazz became her passion and she started to sing in local jazz clubs. Her first album, Bitter Sweet (Sony France), is a collection of jazz standards, and is released in 2000. Despite the success of this first opus Marta feels the need to compose her own songs and music.
Night Walk shows up in 2008, following Marta's encounter with Jean-Jacques Nsengiyumva, aka "Djakhobo", who is a confirmed multi-instrumentalist (Youssu N'Dour, Guru's Jazzmattazz, Axel Red, Zap Mama etc.). This second album definitely sounds Neo Soul, echoing to Marta's jazz, groove and r'n'b influences, in the footsteps of D'Angelo and Erykah Badu.
