Информация об исполнителе
Mike Gibbins (born Michael George Gibbins, 12 March 1949, in Swansea, Wales; died 4 October 2005) was drummer with ill-fated Welsh band Badfinger. After Peter Ham's suicide, Badfinger dissolved and Gibbins began performing as session drummer for various Welsh acts, including on Bonnie Tyler's international hit "It's A Heartache".
In the 1980s, Gibbins performed in various versions of a reformed Badfinger until Gibbins left for good in August 1989.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Gibbins released four solo CDs through Exile Music "A Place in Time" (1997), "More Annoying Songs" [featuring ex-Iveys member Ron Griffiths singing on 2 tracks] (2000), "Archeology" [Ron Griffiths on 1 track] (2002) and "In the Meantime" (2003). The latter included alternative re-recordings of both the Badfinger hit "Come And Get It" and Gibbins own "in the Meantime" originally from the 1974 Wish You Were Here album.
On October 4, 2005, Gibbins died in his sleep at his home in Florida from natural causes. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
