Modern Institute

"Modern Institute are the Italian duo of Teho Teardo (guitar, Rhodes, synths, programming) and Martina Bertoni (cello). They make beautiful and complex music that combines electronic sound and programming with the raw acoustic sound of the cello. Teho is a musician, composer and sound designer who has been releasing music since the early eighties. He has worked with artists such as Placebo, Nurse With Wound, Scorn, Lydia Lunch and Rothko. He also creates film soundtracks and won the Ciak D'oro prize and was nominated for the Nostro D'Argento prize in 2005 for his work."
