Moonaddict

Expressing his love to the mindstate of creative flow while writing music at moonlit nights, 26 year old producer Benjamin Schulz chose the artist name Moonaddict for his solo project. Spending his teenage years playing drums in several Rock bands, he got introduced to Drum & Bass and Dubstep music by his friend Cuepric who went to the same school. Trying to understand how this „new music“ works, he starts producing his own tracks in late 2012, followed by studying popular music production in Osnabrück. Constantly working on his music making skills, Moonaddict evolved his style, which can be described as groove orientated, raw, minimal and spiced with analog synth sounds. He also doesn‘t shrink back from recording his own vocals over his tunes. His most important influences are the sounds of Break, DLR & Alix Perez as well as Alternative Pop and Neo Soul music.
