Moonland is the debut AOR project for Estonian vocalist Lenna Kuurmaa, partnering here with producer Alessandro Del Vecchio (also appearing on keyboards, percussion, backing vocals).
This is a very pleasant traditional AOR album that’s going to appeal to all fans of female fronted AOR/melodic rock.
There’s nothing here we haven’t heard before, but it’s done very well and the catchy songs hold in your head for hours afterwards.
The equal balance of guitars and keyboards will delight old-school connoisseurs and songs like Open Your Heart, Poison Angel, When Love Is Gone and Over Me are impossible to ignore.
Anyone that’s enjoyed released by Robin Beck, Issa, Romeo’s Daughter and particularly Two Of A Kind are going to find strong appeal here!
