I am the oldest member of Mountain Faith and the younger ones don't let me forge t that! I have lived in Sylva, North Carolina most of my life. I currently own and operate a gas station with a tire shop and deli partnered with my brother. I also, with the help of Mountain Faith and my wife own a farm where we hold bluegrass festivals throughout the summer months. We call it the Old Mater Farm concert series It has been my joy to host these events and work with my family and the various bluegrass artists that play our shows. We host most of our events as fundraisers and with a message of hope from the Lord.
Most of my life I had an interest in Southern gospel music. Once my kids began to show an interest in playing different instruments, I became intrested in bluegrass. After my wife had attended Doyle Lawson's bluegrass festival in Denton, North Carolina and came back with several artists' CDs, my interest grew. She then bought me a bass for my birthday and thus the formation of Mountain Faith came about. We had about three practice sessions before playing our first church and from that point forward we have been on the road. The kids were 7, 8, and 9 years old at that time.
I am thankful that the kids have had the opportunity to be the opening band for several of bluegrass' finest musicians. They have shared the stage with greats such as Dailey & Vincent, Balsam Range, Ralph Stanley, Marty Stuart, Rhonda Vincent, Cherry holmes, Michael Cleveland, The Inspirations, Curtis Blackwell, The Isaacs, Sierra Hull, Little Roy Lewis and many more. These bands have all provided inspiration for them to keep going with their music. We love to play in churches and do the bluegrass gospel music. The festivals are also becoming part of our regular scheduling and we love that too. We love to meet new friends and share our love for the music with them.
Recently, the band has been asked to fill in with Barry Scott. Barry has patiently taught and worked with them and has been a tremendous encouragement to us all. I think this experience of playing with him has taught them many valuable lessons about the music industry.
I am most thankful for my salvation and my Saviour, Jesus Christ. Through Him and for Him Mountain Faith has the opportunity to spread the gospel with music and song. I never want to take any of His blessings for granted. I feel so blessed to have been raised in a Christian home and to lead my family in the light of His Word.

I was born in Sylva North Carolina on July 1st, 1993. I have always had a love for music. I started fiddle lessons at age 6. By the time I was 8 I was playing with my dad, brother and cousin in our own band, Mountain Faith. I can't imagine not playing and singing.
My favorite vocalist is Allison Krauss. I would love to someday meet her. I have loved meeting and playing with all the different bluegrass artists. I have too many favorites to mention them all. We play a lot of churches and festivals. The best part of traveling and singing is meeting tons of new people and making friends everywhere we go.
Recently, we were asked to be the back up band for Barry Scott. It has been an honor to play and sing with him. I have seen this as a great opportunity and a valuable learning experience. Barry has one of the best voices in the bluegrass industry. He is an inspiration to me.
I am thankful for my parents, grandparents and family. Most of all, I am thankful for my Saviour and all that he has blessed me with. I pray that I can be used for His glory.

I was born on August 8th, 1995 in Sylva North Carolina. At age 7, I began playing guitar. Soon after I began playing, I became part of the band Mountain Faith. My cousins, uncle and I have toured with Mountain Faith ever since. Our band has played in many churches down through the years. We are beginning to play on the bluegrass festival circuits which has been a lot of fun.
I have enjoyed having the opportunity to play with and meet many outstanding bluegrass artists. Currently, I have been fiiling in and touring with Barry Scott. This has been a great opportunity to learn from one of bluegrass' top vocalist.
In my spare time I enjoy playing basketball and baseball and also riding dirtbikes.
I am thankful that the Lord has given me an opportunity to use my talents to serve Him.

I was born on July 7th, 1994 in Sylva North Carolina. I began playing banjo at age 8. My dad, sister and cousin decided to start Mountain Faith. We began playing in my grandma's church and from there we have spent most every weekend on the road.
My family has a farm and we do a lot of small festivals there during the summer months. I enjoy meeting and picking with a lot of the bluegrass musicians on our farm. I have had the opportunity this summer to fill in with Barry Scott. It has been a great learning experience. Barry is one of the best and he has a lot to offer with his musical background.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing basketball. I play on my school's team. When I am not playing sports or picking the banjo, you will find me at High Country Tire pumping gas. My dad owns the station and I work for him.
I am thankful for having the opportunity to use my music to serve the Lord.

I met the Mountain Faith crew in the fall of 2011 and have considered myself lucky to become a part of the band. I enjoy picking and have the utmost respect for the rest of the members and their families. I look forward to the opportunities coming up in the near future and am thankful for Gods way of working in my life to open these doors!
