Somehow she's escaped the fine-toothed comb that you'd think would be the talent-finding arms of the major record labels.

But Nancy Bryan has every iota of what it would take to crack it big. Bryan is proof that sometimes the great ones lay in the weeds. She's worked the coffeehouses and cafés from NYC to LA and has had significant success as a songwriter of Disney movie music, but Bryan's immensely-powerful voice and socially-relevant lyrics had not been put on a full-length album under her name until APO. Bryan is a true "find." APO owner Chad Kassem was given a sample of her music from an audiophile producer who had cut a Nancy Bryan direct-to-disc, and Kassem was convinced.

That's saying something considering APO is a Blues label, and Bryan is not a Blues singer. Her material is strong enough to make her the only non-Blues artist on the APO roster. Bryan's voice, songwriting and style since the releases of Lay Me Down and Neon Angel have been compared to Joni Mitchell and Sarah McLachlan.
