Parrita

Vicente Castro Gimenez (Parrita) ( Nazaret (Valencia) , 1960 ) is a Spanish singer.

Born into a family canastera, Parrita and has nearly three decades of career. He got it when he was still a boy, following in the footsteps of his older brother, Peti, winner in the Festival del Cante de las Minas .

At 16 he already earned a comfortable living as a musician, but his real launch took place in 1982 with a personal version of the classic Cecilia , Lady, lady.

That was the first of a dozen albums, in which there have been collaborations such as Paco de Lucia (takes your breath), Tomatito (Canastero) Benavent and Kitflus (Gypsy Ballads) or Joan Albert Amargós (Between a Rock and Wall).

Currently, his eldest son Vicente de Castro Heredia (Junior Parrita) is starting in the world of percussion and professional collaborating with his father.
