Информация об исполнителе
Take a trip with Patti... to the jazz clubs of the 30s and 40s...to New York and Paris... where it was always 'Round Midnight, and no one wanted to go home. A distinctive, elegant, sultry sound that evokes memories...Billie, Ella, Frank, Duke ...and takes you on a journey to another time, another place.
Patti is a native of Florence, Alabama...growing up on the banks of the Tennessee River, raised by music loving parents listening to everything from Southern Gospel to George Jones, Dolly Parton, and Tammy Wynette to Bach and Beethoven to Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Doris Day.
Patti has performed in a variety of venues ranging from the World of Coke in Atlanta, to festivals and concerts in the Southeast including a guest vocalist appearance with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra.
Singing these great standards transports me back in time, when jazz was invented on the spot in a club, in a bar, or a jam session. When it was just an idea of what it should sound like, and the talent and the desire to create a new sound kept artists bringing new ideas and sounds to their audience. - Patti
In addition to her singing talents, Patti honed her musical skills in local theater in Florence and the surrounding area, performing dramas and musicals including two original works by Favre Sparks. She continues to perform in live theater productions in Cartersville, Georgia.
I brought my love of performing to my music. I want to entertain my audiences, not just sing to them. - Patti
In 2005, Patti began singing with the Etowah Jazz Society, a wonderfully talented group of people who love music as much as she does.
There is always music surrounding me…I’m either listening, or singing. Music makes life wonderful. And it’s not too far flung to say everyone has a soundtrack to their life. You just have to learn to sing along. - Patti
Patti’s CD, All or Nothing at All - a rich and strong, smooth-flavored collection of some of her favorites - is her first collaboration with the talented Blue Hills Trio (Brian McLeod, keyboard, Bruce McLeod, bass and Rick McKee, drums). They're joined by Phil Marnell (trumpet, fluglehorn); and Daniel Williams (saxophone). Scott Trinh, the lead engineer at Earthshaking Music's recording studio, recorded, mixed, and mastered the CD.
