Born May 23, 1969.
After a classical training in flute at the Academy of Waterloo, Philippe Laloy part in Canada for one year where he was introduced to jazz and perfect the alto saxophone (University of Lethbridge). On his return in 1988, he began studying sociology at the university, while continuing his musical training (chamber music with Jean-Paul Laurent, improvisation and harmony with Loriers Nathalie and Pierre Van Dormael). In 1993, he entered the Conservatory of Brussels (jazz section) and follows the teachings of Steve Houben . He won the first prize in the flute and the saxophone in 1996. Currently, he practices so that the transverse flute base flute and alto and soprano sax.
His many activities as diverse as jazz musical fields, folk, rock and classical music are gradually him an eclectic musician whose musical language is steeped in all these influences.
In 1998, he founded the Brazilian guitarist Victor Da Costa Group DGIL whose music is somewhere between jazz and Brazilian music.
Member of Tangram , with Marie-Sophie Talbot , Fredéric Malempré group with whom he recorded the CD "Ring West" in 1997, and has given numerous concerts in Belgium and abroad (France, Syria, Lebanon ...) A second CD, "Breath", was released in 2011 under Mogno music label.
He is a member of tricycle (with Tuur Florizoone and Vincent Noiret ) since 2000. The band performed around the world (Brazil, China, Canada, Eastern and Western, etc..) And has released three CD's: "Orange for tea," "King Size", "Queskia? ".
In 2001, he founded the TRACES (with Vincent Noiret and Karim Baggili ), which offers a directory on the borders of traditional music and jazz. The band released the "Sigh Moon" CD in 2004 on the Mogno music label.
TRACES joins Amorroma (traditional band) and Zefiro Torna (early music) to create the CD " The Weavers "(Home Records, 2006). A second CD, "O world blind", was released in 2010. Numerous concerts in Belgium and abroad.
He is a member of SEXTET of KARIM Baggili with Kathy Adam , Osvaldo and Patricia Hernandez , and Karoline de la Serna (mix of flamenco and oriental music) since its inception in 2003. Released CD "Cuatro con cuatro" in 2005 and "Lea and Kash" in 2010, and numerous concerts in Belgium, France, Italy ...
Member of Panta Rhei since 2006.

He has to his credit numerous collaborations with musicians and traditional music groups: Didier Laloy , Luc Pilartz , Gabriel Yacoub , IALMA etc..

It also participates in Impro-session music from 1992 to 1994 and 2003.
He has written several times to the music for the theater, " Jojo cow "musical tale for children (Oz Theatre, 2000)," Les Madeleines (Oz, 2003), " The stories of Anna "(musical tale Oz) and participated in the show " Witloof Cabaret "(Roultabi Co., 2002-2003)," Chat is jazzy "(Theatre Chip, 2006-2007).
