Already being talked about are the powerful quintet named Tainted Nation. Assembled firstly in his head by Pete Newdeck, it wasn't too long before this aspiration became a stark reality.
Drummer of Eden's Curse - Pete had been busily writing and demoing material with friend and also Lionsheart Guitarist Ian Nash, putting together an album of powerful commercial yet modern heavy material. The twist being that this time Newdeck had sung. This material was given an overwhelming thumbs up by friends and music media collegues to the point where Newdeck and Nash wanted this to take a further route. Having bonded a friendship on the Stratovarius/Firewind/Eden's Curse tour with former Firewind powerhouse drummer Mark Cross in 2009, Newdeck quickly approached his first choice Cross - Mark wanted in without question. He was overwhelmed by the identity of the music along with his surprise of Newdeck's vocal ability and talents.
Pontus Egberg – former bassist of the Swedish sensations The Poodles was also enthused by the fresh sound and what this band had to offer. Again he wanted in and soon after with the addition of a fifth member on second guitar, with Joel Peters this formidable line up was complete. The band announced the line up in 2010, with their intentions to complete recording as soon as possible. Their first album F.E.A.R. was released on January 25,2013 and gained great interest within the media. Having already given interviews to media and radio stations and the album been ecorded in Athens, Stockholm and Tewkesbury England, produced by Pete Newdeck and mixed by none other than Dennis Ward, who's list of stunning album mixes and production is endless and widely talked about.
Say's Pete: 'I feel lucky to have had such jaw dropping contributions to this album-by everyone involved . It has grown into something that we, as a band are extremely proud of'.
Press are already alikening the identity to Sixx A.M., Shinedown, Bullet For My Valentine along with many past and classic influences, with a strong commercial vane running right through the middle. The band's aspirations are to get out live and start the talking!!
'We wanna show everybody exactly what we have to offer and why we believe so much in Tainted Nation' says Cross.
While TN played shows the UK and Spain in 2012/13 and 14, their first two Video clips of the songs "Loser" and soon after “Dare You” were released in 2013 to support their album F.E.A.R..
The five musicians who have all in their own right been involved in world tours, festivals and recordings, boasting members and ex-members of Helloween, Firewind, King Diamond, The Poodles, Eden’s Curse, Lionsheart, the Scorpions and others, took a slightly unexpected direction in this hard hitting commercial slice of music, the album has helped Tainted Nation to move forward at a rapid pace. On 26.02.2016, Tainted Nation is looking forward to the release of their follow-up album entitled “On The Outside” via Pride & Joy / Edel.
This record was recorded in Tewkesbury, UK and Stockholm, Sweden, and produced & mixed by Pete Newdeck and assisted by Pontus Egberg. Pontus Norgren of Hammerfall has co-written the tracks “Live And Die”, “Karma” and “Back To Earth” and provided a couple of guest solos, Nick Workman (Vega) appears as backing vocalist on the track “On The Outside” and Issa guests as backing singer on “Pulling Me Under.
