Информация об исполнителе
Vanessa Peterss musical style is sometimes alt-country, sometimes folk-pop, and always just a little hard to pin down. The Dallas Observer called her the best kind of singer-songwriter: astute enough to explore the deeper recesses of relationships but tough enough to avoid the pitfalls of sentimentality.
Born in Texas on September 16, 1980, Vanessa studied literature and creative writing and intended to pursue a career as a novelist and short-story writer. Crippling stage fright made it unlikely that music would ever have been her final destination. But through a series of coincidences, she finally found herself on stage, performing her own songs, in the winter of 2001. Things progressed quickly from there, and in 2003 she released her first album, Sparkler.
In 2004 she met and began performing with an Italian instrumental trio and together they are known as Vanessa Peters & Ice Cream On Mondays. As a solo artist she has toured internationally throughout the United States, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Ireland, England, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and the Czech Republic, and often tours as an acoustic duo with the bands guitarist, Manuel Schicchi. She has released five studio albums, two of them featuring Ice Cream on Mondays, and is currently working on the 6th, entitled Sweetheart, Keep Your Chin Up.
She splits her time between Italy and Texas, but spends most of the year on the road. These tours may include some or all of the band members from Ice Cream on Mondays or may simply feature her solo performances. Band members include Manuel Schicchi, Juri Deluca, and Alberto The Gumo Serafini.
