Zuzana Smatanova, born on June 14, 1984 in Sulov-Hradna, Slovakia, is a Slovak pop-rock singer. She sings in Slovak and in English too. She composes her songs herself. Her musical style has been compared to both Avril Lavigne and Alanis Morissette. She plays piano, flute, and guitar.
In 1998 she was admitted to a school to the Pedagogical and Social Academy in TurЅianske Teplice, but she was attracted more to make music than to become a teacher.
In 2003 she won the Slovak Coca-Cola Popstar Competition and the Newcomer of the Year category of the Aurel Award.
