Bastardolomey is a Bulgarian metal band formed in 2007 by Dimitar Vassilev – Nufry. The band seeks an aggressive metal sound, which is not necessarily to be widely appreciated by everyone. It is rather the musical influences and preferences of the band members that is aspiring the driving direction of their performances. The main ambitions are set to stage the European rock events.
The four band members are:
Dimitar Vassilev – Nufry – VOCALS/GUITAR (Panican Whyasker, ex- Pyromania, Plastic Hi-Fi, R.O.B.T.F)
Cyrillus Petrushev – Busti – LEAD GUITARS (Ebanizm)
Venelin Georgiev – Villi – BASS (Ebanizm, Mortal Remains)
Milen Ivanchev – DRUMS (ex- Pyromania)
By the end of 2007 Bastardolomey had recorded their first single called Cheap Thrill. Included were two songs – a cover of New Model Army’s 51st State and Cheap Thrill. The song immediately entered the local charts and went on air in the best rock radio stations in Bulgaria – Z-Rock and Tangra and was very well received. The Cheap Thrill video is the bands first video and was recorded in June 2008 (you can view the video bellow) and produced by NoMo Productions.
The debut live performance of Bastardolomey was on 15 November 2008 in FANS Rock Club in Sofia. Soon after followed a logical invitation to be the supporting band of New Model Army's first concert in Bulgaria on 24 April, only further inspired the band's motivation to chase new horizons in their musical influences.
In Dec 2009 Bastardolomey entered NoMore Productions Studio to record the band’s first album - a compilation of 10 bone-crushing titles called Plastic Pig Society. The official release of the CD was in April 2010. The promo CD pack features an exclusive collectors' box set, that also includes a mini poster, a patch, bumper stickers, Bastardolomey badge and a guitar pick.
In summer 2010 Bastardolomey will tour the major cities in Bulgaria and stage one of the main musical events in Bulgaria this year - Sofia Rocks - part of Sonisphere Festival, as the local support band, on the first day of the festival.
