This 2003 Deluxe Edition of the Who's classic 1971 album finds all nine original tracks newly remastered and features a treasure trove of bonus material -- live versions of the songs that Pete Townshend had intended to use as part of his shelved Lifehouse project. The six tracks appear on Disc 1, after the original nine from Who's Next, were recorded in New York with guest musicians including Leslie West and Al Kooper; two were previously unreleased ("Getting in Tune" and "Won't Get Fooled Again").
The second CD features 14 tracks recorded in 1971 at London's Young Vic Theatre by the Stones Mobile recording unit; all were previously unreleased. Additionally, this new package includes new updated liner notes by Townshend along with John Atkins original reissue notes and is housed in an eight-panel digipak.
