One of this summer’s biggest sunny-side D&B anthems has just been boosted!
The Brookes Brothers’ first original material since their critically acclaimed 2017 album ‘Orange Lane’, ‘Every Minute’ saw siblings Phil and Dan Brookes going back to their roots with effortless class. Soulful, musical, fizzing with sunny-side feels, rolling with a cool sense of restraint, ‘Every Minute’ tapped into a signature sound and style the Brookes Brothers first exploded onto the scene with in the mid 2000s on seminal labels such as Breakbeat Kaos, Viper and RAM and enjoyed heavy support from Annie Mac, Rene LaVice, High Contrast, Kove, Cyantific and loads more.
Now come the all essential remixes from an exceptional rollcall of names across drum & bass and beyond.
Bladerunner steps up first, maintaining his reputation as one of the most consistent producers in the game. Taking time out from his in-demand schedule as a member of supergroup du jour Kings Of The Rollers, Bladerunner provides a high-voltage workout that’s so sharp it gives entire dancefloors knighthoods the moment it cuts through the speakers.
The equally unswerving InsideInfo follows with a similarly stark, future-focussed version. Expect high funk tension from his precision-tuned version as the tightly coiled bass licks and molten elements glide and slide between each other, creating a groove that’s so palpably physical you can feel it moving you.
Finally, we conclude with a remix from rising future house star Stephen Murphy. Doing all the things a dancefloor expects a remix to do, Spinnin’ affiliate Murphy flips the classic sample and wraps it around a bouncy house bassline, adding a whole new perspective and narrative to one of this year’s biggest sunny side anthems. Enjoy!
