Contrasto, Memorie, Opera Prima, Il colore dei pensieri and Pinocchio. These are the five discs of the 29 unreleased Pooh that have not yet been reviewed on Debasio. And since in these days, from 6 to 12 August, I go through their entire discography, 345 songs in total, I decided to plug the holes. So let's start with Contrasto. Second album released two years later For those like us, it was withdrawn from the market a few weeks after its release, and today is a real rarity. There are 11 songs present. A good part of the texts were written by Pantros, or Armando Sciascia, producer of the album with his Vedette. We are still at the stage where only Roby and Riccardo sing, Dodi will sing for the first time in the same year in the single Buonanotte Penny, and Red and Stefano will sing in the first half of the 70s, when the line-up had stabilized. Being the 60s, the songs are all short, between 2 and 3 minutes in length, and no longer than that. The pieces left in the collective memory and in the concert schedules are the very famous Piccola Katy, the band's first real success, and In silenzio, which will be enhanced in 1990 with the reinterpretation of Roby Facchinetti for the album 25 ... la nostra storia. Then there are two passages, which will be manipulated and re-proposed with another title: Il buio mi fa paura, also proposed with the title Cose di questo mondo, and La leggenda della luna, proposed again in the following Memories with the title La fata della luna. Contrasto is also worth noting, an instrumental piece that will then be reworked in 1973 for the writing of the second part of Parsifal. Basically a record that continues in the wake of the first, we are at Pooh beat. They will remain so for an album, Memorie, which I am now going to review. At this 3-star Contrast, a middle grade for a record that is certainly not bad but not yet an expression of the group's maturity.
