Евгения Мирошниченко

The Ukrainian soprano (1931-2009), famous opera and chamber singer. She was born in Vovchansk, near Kharkiv (Ukraine). In 1951 she was noticed by the professor of the Kiev Conservatory and invited to study there. She finished conservatory in 1957 and made her debut in Kiev Opera Theatre as Violetta in Giuseppe Verdi's "La Traviata". In 1961 she worked in La Skala.

Miroshnichenko is famous for her timbre and voice technique. Her singing in a love song of Alexander Alyabiev "The Nightingale" became an example for many singer's. Read more on Last.fm
