A. E. Bizottság was a Hungarian underground band formed by a group of visual and multimedia artists and amateur musicians in the early 1980s. Their name translates as 'Albert Einstein Committee'. After their formation in 1980, they released one studio album and one soundtrack album before breaking up in 1985.

A.E. Bizottság (meaning: Comittee or Alber Einstein Comittee) is extreme and weird avantgarde band (between 1980-1986) from Hungary. Their music was the end of art. And the beginning as well.

They had a shocking impact on the Hungarian underground scene in the eighties.

An accomplished painter, András Wahorn was also the leader of the legendary punk band "A. E. Bizottság" (Α. Einstein Committee). The band was branded as “underground,” despite the bizarre fact that their only two records were actually funded by the state.

As Wahorn revealed in an interview, “the communists did not understand this new music but you could get away with it under the disguise of art.” The Committee is the subject of several short film experiments that made up Ice Cream Ballet.
