Arbadétorne is a group of traditional Vendée music.
The group's name comes from the name of a small orchid , the tresses , which is often found in the Vendée and more rarely on the coast. This plant is called by the ancients "arbadétorne" or "arbaladétorne" is to say "grass away" because it was deemed to have the power to divert its path whoever walked above.
Similarly, the purpose of the group is to divert paths too busy to retrieve deleted musicians of old trails, lead the listener and the viewer on a journey of musical landscape in the Vendée.
The group consists of four members:
Maxime Chevrier (tale, violin , vocals) from the South of France, Maxime is a Bocain adoption. Holds a teaching fiddle State graduate, he also exercised collectage songs and stories from the elders of all the Vendée, especially with AREXCPO association.
Emmanuel Vrignaud (vocals, veuze , violin, viola , oboe ) maraîchin from a family of traditional dancers, it is itself dancer since the age of 5 years and it continues the traditional dance by conducting workshops and dances .
Jean-François Rambaud ( guitar , MIDI effects, vocals) hails from Noirmoutier , Jean-François has acquired during his years playing guitar expertise he brings to the traditional music.
Michael Auger ( accordion diatonic, vocals): teacher participating in Departmental Schools Traditional Music in Vendee, Michael is part of the new generation of accordionists Vendee.
Arbadétorne presents various musical performances and storytelling, some adapted specifically for children, but the group also hosts traditional dances throughout the Vendée. The balls are sometimes preceded by dance classes where even beginners can learn the basic steps in the direction of the musicians in order to take full advantage of balls. Concerts are also held throughout the year at all. Day Petit Moulin organized every year at the Petit Moulin de Châteauneuf (85) generally marks the year by presenting a unique concert or a new Arbadetorne album. Fans of the group will meet every year more numerous.
