The neo-psychedelic quartet Baby Lemonade formed in Los Angeles, and debuted in 1994 with the six-song Wonderful EP, released on the Sympathy for the Record Industry label.

Following the record's release, the band -- comprised of singer/guitarist Rusty Squeezebox, guitarist Mike Randle, bassist Dave Chapple and drummer David "Daddy-O" Green -- accepted an invitation to tour with Arthur Lee in a reunited version of his legendary band Love; a flurry of major label interest followed, but in the end Baby Lemonade remained with Sympathy, for whom they recorded 1996's full-length 68% Pure Imagination.

Exploring Music, their first record for the Big Deal label, followed two years later and High Life Suite was released in mid-2000.

Baby Lemonade was formed in 1992 by teen pals, guitarist/singer/songwriters, Rusty Squeezebox and Mike Randle, drummer, David “Daddy-O” Green, later adding Hollywood’s favorite trash-pop band, Boys Named Sue’s bassist, Dave Chapple, to the mix, solidifying the band’s sound. In 1993 (with original bassist, Henry Lui), the band landed the gig of a lifetime; opening up and then procuring the spot as Iconic 60’s legend Arthur Lee’s LOVE group. The band released a single in Spain (Benny & The Jets), as well as the critically acclaimed 10” vinyl EP on Sympathy For The Record Industry (The Wonderful E.P.). They continued to carve their way into the music business gigging regularly Southern California’s pop music scene while also performing as LOVE with Arthur Lee.

Baby Lemonade continued to pull double duties, touring and recording with Arthur Lee, while releasing 2 more full length records, 1996’s 68% Pure Imagination on SFTRI and 1998’s Exploring Music on New York’s BIG DEAL label.

Upon their return from a LOVE tour in Europe, in June, 1996, the band was shocked to find that Arthur had been sentenced to 12 years in prison on a weapons charge.

In 2000, Rusty and Mike released solo albums on eggBERT records (Isotopes and My Music Loves You -even if i don’t, respectively), followed by the band’s final record in 2001, The High Life Suite. Bassist, Dave Chapple briefly left the group to create the Harvette LP and was replaced briefly by Muff’s Drummer, Jim Laspesa on bass.

Later, after nearly 6 years in prison, Arthur’s case was overturned and shortly after, at his request, Baby Lemonade began rehearsing for what would be non-stop LOVE touring (this time with original LOVE guitarist and co-founder, Johnny Echols). Tours continued through North America, UK, Europe and Australia from 2002-2005 and enjoyed unprecedented success: Glastonbury (2x), Roskilde, Royal Festival Hall, Queen Anne’s Hall, Jools Holland Show and multiple high-profile festivals.

Accolades accompanied their re-creation of the classic Love album “Forever Changes” which was filmed by the BBC at the “Glastonbury Festival” and “Later With Jools Holland”. Baby Lemonade escorted Arthur Lee in collecting a “Lifetime Achievement” award from MOJO and a “Living Legend” award from the NME. Baby Lemonade (as Love) helped Arthur to record the Forever Changes Concert CD and DVD.

In July of 2005, Arthur and the band learned later he was in early stages of Leukimia. After a brave battle, Arthur Lee passed away one year later. Arthur’s last show ever was with Baby Lemonade (June 22nd & 23rd) at San Francisco’s Cafe Du Nord, leaving the world forever missing the music that inspired Baby Lemonade.

In 2008, Baby Lemonade was asked to join the prestigious London Sinfonietta in performing the classic Beatle’s album “Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band in Milan, Italy. The band backed Marianne Faithful, Alex Chilton, Robyn Hitchcock, Peter Murphy, Russell Mael, Jarvis Cocker Badly Drawn Boy, Beth Orton and The Residents.

In 2008 the band released “Best of Baby Lemonade” CD.

Once again, the BL is pulling double duties; playing select live shows as Baby Lemonade and rehearsing for a LOVE revisited UK/ Europe tour in the summer of 2016.

LOVE revisited is Mike Randle (gtr/voc), Dave Chapple (bass, voc, harmonica), David Green (drums), Rusty Squeezebox (voc/ gtr), with Johnny Echols (gtr/voc).
