ENGLAND:

Dave grew up in England and was inspired at an early age to play guitar and write songs.
He began his Professional career as a Singer, Songwriter and Guitarist in various Essex bands including: ‘The 24 Club’, 'The Escape Club' and 'The Romford Stompers'. Although all of these bands released independent records, it was the songs of 'The 24 Club' that led Dave and his co-writers, (Phil Harding & Mick Hanson), to re-locate to New York City to work with singer/model Louise Robey and Manager Stan Shaffer.

NEW YORK:

After completing the writing and Recording of several songs for the ‘Louise & the Creeps’ project, Dave, Phil and Mick re-grouped as ‘The Famous Rays’ to write and record the album, ‘Ending Beginning’, which was released on vinyl, by U.K. label 'Blue Dot Records’.

NEW YORK (BEHIND THE GLASS):

After a chance encounter with ‘CBS Songs’ executive Danny Strick, Dave was hired as Chief Engineer/Producer for the CBS songs recording studio.
During Dave’s seven years at CBS, he worked with many great Songwriters, Producers and Artists, including: Alice Cooper, Bon Jovi, Joan Jet, Paul Stanley, Diane Warren, Desmond Child, Cyndi Lauper, Colin Hay and Meatloaf, etc.
One of these CBS Artists, (Billy Robertson, the singer from ‘Polyrock’), recruited Dave as the lead Guitarist for his new band, ‘Nine Ways to Sunday’. After receiving offers from ‘Columbia’ and ‘Giant Records’, the band signed to ‘Giant’ and re-located to Philadelphia to record their debut album. The resulting album, “Nine Ways to Sunday”, was Produced by Dave and released by Giant/Reprise in 1990.

During the next five years, Dave continued writing and recording at his own studio in NYC and freelancing as a producer/engineer/mixer at various other studio’s including: ‘Electric Lady’, ‘Unique’, 'The Hit Factory', ‘Green street’, 'Sorcerer Sound' and ‘Spa’

LOS ANGELES:

When Dave moved to Los Angeles in 1995, he re-connected with ‘Men at Work’ singer, Colin Hay and began a collaboration that would span several albums. Their first album was ‘Transcendental Highway’, where Dave is credited as the album’s co-producer, engineer and mixer as well as a co-writer on four of the songs.
This Album went on to receive a 'Best Album' nomination at the 1998 Australian music awards and one of these songs, ('I just don't think I'll ever get over you'), was later included in the movie ‘Garden State’, which won the ‘Grammy’ for ‘Best Soundtrack Album’ in 2005.

Dave then Recorded and Mixed the re-formed 'Men At Work', “Live in Brazil” album for ‘Sony Records’ and Colin's second solo acoustic album “Going Somewhere”.

LOS ANGELES (MISCELLANEOUS PROJECTS):

Numerous album productions for songwriter/producers: Desmond Child and Rick Nowels.

In-House Engineer for Post Production studio ‘Schtung Music’.
Editor and Mixer for DVD commentary tracks on 4 seasons of ‘The Simpsons’ and various Feature Film’s.

Produced, Recorded and Mixed three albums for Australian Band ‘Brother’.

Guitarist, Programmer, Engineer and Mixer for Maria Vidal’s solo album ‘Radience’, released by ‘Henhouse Records’ in 2010.

Tour Manager for the Steve Vai Band.
1995 U.S. Tour (opening for Bon Jovi).

It should also be noted that since the early 90's, Dave's own Spiritual path of Yoga, led him to Produce, Record and Mix Donna Delory's much acclaimed Sanskrit Mantra album, "The Lover And The Beloved” for ‘Ajna Records’. Dave also recorded Donna's second Mantra album, 'Sanctuary' for ‘Nutone Records’ and contributed Remixes for Donna’s ‘Remix’ album, released by ‘Whiteswan Records’ in 2011.

“Mantra Rocks” an Album by ‘Dave Dale & Nadaji’
A collection of Sanskrit Mantra’s, written and recorded in collaboration with Singer and Harmonium player Nadaji.
This album was released in 2010 by ‘Whiteswan Records’ and is available through ‘Whiteswan Records’, ‘ITunes’ and ‘Amazon’.

“Time Starts Now” a Solo Album featuring collaborations and contributions from artists including: Nadaji, IN-Q, Wendy Smith, Abba Roland, Hani Naser, ‘Brother’ and Composers Chad Fisher and Michael Levine.
This album was released in 2009 and is available through ‘CD Baby’ and ‘ITunes’ etc.

Composer of an Ambient Music Installation for Michael J. Mcloud’s Sculpture exhibit at the Paulo Salvador Gallery in NYC.

The Concept and Music for a short film entitled, “Exit A Pendulum”.
This film received a 'Cine Eagle' award for ‘Best Experimental Short Film’.

CURRENT NEWS 2011:

Dave has updated his personal Recording Studio with ‘Protools 9’ etc. and has formed a new production partnership (‘State of the Heart Productions’), with Nadaji. They are also writing new material for their next Album.
Later this year, Dave is planning a new ‘24 club’ recording with his original writing partners, Phil Harding and Mick Hanson…
