Francesc Pi De La Serra

Francesc Pi de la Serra i Valero is a Catalan singer, who was born in Barcelona in 1942 and was a pioneer of the "Nova Cançó" ("New Song") movement in Catalonia during the 1960s and 70s. One of his most emblematic songs, "L'home del carrer" ("The Man of the Street"), allegorizes the everyday man, and has also been interpreted by Jaume Sisa and by Joan Manuel Serrat, who included it in his album Banda sonora d'un temps d'un país.
