Jim Rorie is a north Mississippi Delta Blues man. The early years took him all over the country and after playing blues clubs in Chicago and Los Angeles, he settled in Memphis, the Home of the Blues.Jim Rorie

The Memphis Blues CD is a compilation of some of Jim’s favorite blues songs. The songs on, One More For The Ditch, Frisco Depot Blues and Payin’The Fiddler were all written by Jim or co-written with old kindred spirits that lived the life with him. He’d be the first to tell you that it’s been a good ride. The One More For The Ditch CD is now being played all over Europe, New Zealand, Australia and Japan. The Mother Road CD contains “Route 66“, “I Wish I Was 18 Again“, “A Wonderful World“ and nine Jim Rorie songs. Getting a lot of response on this one and Up In The U. Jim’s latest CD is My Home Is Memphis, Tennessee and contains all Memphis related songs. Many made famous by well-known artists Chuck Berry, Hoagy Carmichael, Curley Williams, Tommy Tucker and W. C. Handy. In addition there are six, original Jim Rorie songs… all about Memphis. Everyone is really excited about it. Take a minute to browse.
In the past, Jim played Mike Moffatt’s annual party at the Memphis in May Barbeque, The Red River Western Film and Music Festival in Shreveport, LA, The Tombstone Western Book and Film Festival in Tombstone, AZ, The Jim Roberts Round-Up party at the Golden Boot Awards in Los Angeles, CA and the Gene Autry Western Film and Music Festival in Gene Autry, OK. He is currently writing songs for his next album and still plays 20 to 30 dates a year at selected venues.
