Kuba Kotowicz

The Kuba Kotowicz Quartet is an ensemble performing original repertoire composed by the leader, drawing mainly on contemporary jazz, but also looking at other musical genres. The works performed combine melodious themes with a rich harmonic layer and youthful energy and virtuosity. Kotowicz's compositions are inspired by everything from the prose of everyday life to, among others, the works of Tolkien or other artists important in shaping the author's oeuvre. Their concerts are about playing with sound, energy, improvisation, but also about the story the musicians want to tell.
