Los Secretos

Known as one of the major acts of the Spanish New Wave, los Secretos was formed in 1980 by brothers Javier, Enrique, and Alvaro Urquijo, who where joined by a temporary drummer. After three active years, the foursome became a duet in 1983, with Alvaro and Enrique Urquijo playing their own pop/rock tunes. Later, drummer Steve Jordan, bassist Nacho Lles and guitarist Ramón Arroyo joined the act, returning as a group with the release of El Primer Cruce and an album called Continuará. In 1988, after they were joined by keyboardist Jesús Redondo, the band issued a live record, called Directo, the first one to achieve gold status.

los Secretos disbanded by the end of the 1990s. Soon after, the group's members got involved in different projects.

They formed in the 80s and in 2010 celebrated their 30th anniversary. Look for them. They are GOOD. Their style is country, though some songs sound like Mex rancheras, the instruments used are definitely country, in the likes of The Eagles or Jackson Browne. The songs are very deep and poetic. Enrique's songs are quite sad (Agarrate a mi Maria). His younger brother Alvaro Urquijo, took over after his death in 1999 (he was 39 years old). It is acoustic, guitars, piano, bass, drums accompanied by an orchestra string section. VERY WELL DONE. It is in spanish the band being from Madrid.
Their lead guitarist, Ramon Arroyo is outstanding and their sound is incredible.
