Lucky 3 Blues Band

The Lucky 3 Blues Band is a new trio of Chicago music veterans exploring the blues in the 21st century. Their unique style of “Blues Confusion” draws from a deep reservoir of original songs, blues classics, & the odd left turn. Featuring Jay O’Rourke - electric & acoustic guitar, Frank Raven - harmonica, Jim Desmond - vocals, with archaic drum machine sounds - The Lucky 3 Blues Band play “old school” blues with a modern sensibility. A year after their first public performances in May 2014, The Lucky 3 Blues Band celebrates the unleashing of their debut CD “ HOWL ! ” “HOWL !”s eight original studio songs (adressing life in the 21st century), & five deep classics from the 20th century (recorded live at SPACE/evanston 9-17-13) deliver a new twist on the blues.
