Mimmo Locasciulli was born in Penne, Abruzzo in 1949.

In May 2006 he was released the 16th album, "sglobal", produced by Greg Cohen and the same Locasciulli made ​​between Rome and New York with the participation of some very important guest artists:

In the early months of 2007 Locasciulli participates in an initiative of the City of Turin, elected together with Rome World Book Capital, composing the music of some poems by Leonard Cohen, as he himself translated. The concert presented in Turin is replicated in Cairo as part of the International Book Fair in which Italy is guest of honor.
Emotions collected on this trip, multiplied by the influence exerted by the poetry of Cohen constitute the point of start of the new compositions by Mimmo.

The circle closes in June 2008 when he participates, together with Lucio Dalla and Luca Carboni at a concert on the island of Lampedusa, on the occasion of a ceremony dedicated to migrant populations.
Two months later, the songs are written in May 2009 and was released the 17 albums of Mimmo, "Hydra" (published some months in advance in Switzerland), which the author considers his most important, deep and painful work.
