The South City Three

The South City Three was the original St. Louis-based backing band for American roots musician Pokey LaFarge (Andrew Heissler), featuring Ryan Koenig (harmonica, percussion), Joey Glynn (upright bass), and Adam Hoskins (guitar), known for their vintage sound blending early jazz, ragtime, and blues. Active from around 2008-2009, they released acclaimed albums like Riverboat Soul and Middle of Everywhere, gaining fame and collaborating with artists like Jack White before members moved to other projects around 2018, though LaFarge continues with a new lineup.
