One of the most sought after players in the downtown scene, he has perform e d as a soloist with the WDR Radio Symphony of Koln, the Basel Sinfonietta of Switzerland, recorded as a Nashville studio musician on over 200 recordings (including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, George Jones and Jimmy Swaggart), made over 100 albums as a sideman with the likes of Lee Konitz, John Zorn, Dave Douglas, John Ambercrombie, Tim Berne, Ray Anderson, Don Byron, Anthony Davis and Guy Klucevsek.
