Growing Up
Katy Hudson was born and raised in Santa Barbara, California. Katy Hudson was raised by her two parents, who are both pastors. Katy Hudson grew up listening to Christian gospel music, she would end up singing in her local church as a child. She ended up earning her GED as a freshman in high school. From that point on Katy Hudson would work really hard to make her dreams of becoming a musician come true. She ended up releasing a self titled gospel album in 2001 with her record company Red Hill Records, which would end up bombing by the end of the year.
After the record label ended, Katy Hudson was driven to keep her herself alive in the music scene. Even though she was well received in the Christian music scene and her album ended up being known as one of the top albums and artists to check out, Katy ended up jumping ship and running to seek pop stardom in the secular music world.
