Note: 9/10

Enquire about the identity of the one who likes to be called Klaus Kinski raises the investigation, imposing the translation of rare Russian Internet pages. Tovarisch Klaus lived in Kemerovo, Russia. He is the author of a first and ô how much very good short format, In Isolation (chroniqué here), taken out last May on Echomania. This netlabel whose activities started only some months ago, has tendency to touch each of its exits just. Taken out who, it is necessary to specify him, is systematically free. Between compilation Roll The Dice, previous Kinski and nebulous album of Medkit (chroniqué here), the choices of Eugene Mitskevitch proved their pertinence. This new EP in the colours of mini-album and in the engaging title of Scape Destructive Putrescent doesn't make exception. On the contrary, he breaks all records. This summary of payments made in error, of dark ambient and of rhythmic noise is an atomic bomb, no more and no less.

They knew Echomania carried on complex and tortured writings, spitting their bile out in the face of the careless listener. In term of unhealthy energy, Klaus isn't indeed the last of the arrivistes. In Isolation had shown the surprising capacities to be infected and to putrefy beat. The violent cuts, the injections of lethal ambient and this form of trip-hop industrialist cleared something of addictif and of fundamentally original. You will perhaps have understood at this hour, that Scape Destructive Putrescent, not happy to distinguish himself from his precursor, proves to be even better. It is simple, this album wouldn't make task in the catalogues of Ad Noiseam or of Ant-Zen. The time of nine short tracks, the man constructs buildings in chilling ambiences. Baroque terror and vandalizes rhythmics describe calamitous dances of a rare haughtiness. To devote himself to the listening of this only disc, the night, in a small insulated village, is a blow to be believed in mercenaries' silhouettes encagoulés hidden behind the slightest grove. Drones squeaks and meander, like bearing air currents of abnormal noise, and some made introductions by sourish notes (Baby, Artificial Life) recall the films of terror of the middle of the century. But the brilliant stroke of Klaus Kinski remains the blend of types on which it operates, as well as this friendly fixed idea to clean you the brain. I try unsuccessfully to be only not very being very fond of of rhythmic noise, it is however the irregular injection of these stages violently unbridled that sublimates the album. While the smoke-forming drowned the space and while unknown animals make labels on metal plates, the appearance of rhythmic thunders causes states wobbling between paralysis and ecstasy. But the Russian can to be even productive terrassants of power of beats downtempo, close to the hip-hop or, employing dark ambient, to spin around you the most frightening chrysalises. Perhaps the confidentiality of the character makes him even more intriguing. The titles of his tracks have anyway, a similar effect. Do the audible snatches of song at the end of Charles Manson Mein Bester Freund belong to one of the writings megalomaniacs of the guru of The Family? Why destroying, fence devoted in Russian poet Anna Achmatova is it the only luminous and human room of the album? Is there a link with the fact that the artist lives in the small city in which that that was called the Soul of the Age of Money is buried?

Scape Destructive Putrescent will rank probably in the best albums of IDM / PAYMENTS MADE IN ERROR of 2011. But at the moment, that writings such as this one are in shadow apparait as a calamity. Intangible Klaus Kinski has something undoubtedly against the world to show so much splendid rage. To drink it requires simply to go around by the site of Echomania, where work is free delivered. Unharmed not being guaranteeing return.
