For brothers Isaac and Thorald Koren, closure came in the form of their debut album I Went to the Sea to Be Free. Dedicated to their grandmother who they’d never met, the 14-track album takes us through a plethora of emotionally-charged productions and heartfelt lyricism. Holding nothing back, the duo easily navigates an array of complex emotions on the project, putting them on full display on each folk-tinged track.
