A representative of 80's metal/shock rock! A debut album with a powerful
metal sound. This work is the debut album released in 1985. Contrary to
its flamboyant appearance, this work has a powerful metal sound, which
sets it apart from glam-oriented pop LA metal and thrash metal. This time,
four of the earliest demo sound sources are additionally included as bonus
tracks.
Ripper's Notes:
Full length debut from Horror Metal icons Lizzy Borden, one of my favorte
bands of the early Metal Blade era. Though the "new" demo bonus tracks
are certainly a fine addition, I do wish they would have included the
tracks from the stellar Give 'em The Axe EP as bonus tacks, as those are
now very hard to find on CD.
I bought these same remasters 20 years ago from Japan as well, and was
disappointed to find that they were the US pressings, with simply an Obi
added. This time, they are true Japanese pressings.
I do not know if these are the same masters as the 2001 reissues, but I
suspect not, as when I put the disc in my drive, it was not found in the
CDDB, and that would be highly unlikely after 20+ years, so I suspect
these are 2021 remasters.
