Thomas Lemmer on his album: DREAMSCAPES is a very personal album that came about at a time when I was searching for inner peace. Music production became a retreat for me, where I found peace – a place of self-reflection and almost a meditative experience. I wrote the music primarily for myself, to end the day with headphones on in the evening and to relax or create an atmosphere that gently brings you to rest. The pieces are often based on harmonic structures that are laid out in loops. I put a lot of heart and soul into the sound design. The challenge was to develop melodies and structures that fit this loop-based concept – perfectly suited for relaxation, meditation or concentration. At the same time, the pieces offer moving melodies, interesting harmonies and a multifaceted arrangement.
