Application
auCDtect Task manager based on auCDtect.exe from
TAU (True Audio) Software.
The advantage of this application:1) certification of the log with a digital signature with easy verification
2) support for many formats (APE, FLAC, LPAC, OFR, SHN, TAK, TTA, WV - "from the box" and others, including ALAC, with add-on package (
additional_unpackers.zip)
3) unicode support
4) multitasking support
Download the application. Unpack the archive and run auCDtectTaskManager.exe. After installation, launch the application.
The program needs to be configured. Press
SettingsGeneral. If for all scanned files instead of "Finish" it writes "ERROR" and the "Summary" field is filled in (CDDA 100%, for example), it is quite possible that the application does not have enough rights to work with the folder for temporary files. There are two ways out: correct the rights or create a separate folder and specify it in the "Temporary folder path"
Performance. It is recommended set the "Default task priority" to Normal or High. The default is low.
ProcessingHere, for convenience, you should enable "Load subdirectories". You can also enable a convenient way to notify you about the end of the scan.
auCDtect reports. Here it is necessary to change the "Save options". By default, both "file" and "folder" are included. It is necessary to leave only the "folder" enabled, otherwise there will be a lot of unnecessary files in the folder with the track rip. And they are not needed, because in the final report on the folder, everything is already scheduled for each file.
The rest of the options in this section do not need to be touched.
Spectrogram. For 'questionable' files, auCDtect will automatically generate a spectrogram.
Save conditions - set "Suspect only", so that later, without unnecessary movements, you can see what is wrong with this file. (If necessary, the spectrogram of a normal file can be viewed and saved by right-clicking on it. In the menu that opens, select the item "Details ...", the tab "Spectrogram" (in the upper part of the window).
Width - 1000 is recommended. The default is such a width that you can't see anything. It also makes no sense to put more than 1000 - there will not be much detail, but it will go beyond the average screen (which is 1280 pixels wide).
Height - recommended 600, no less.
This completes the setup. Open files in the program. If you need to check one file (this is when distributing a rip with a disk image), then press "Load file ..." (Ctrl-O). If there are many files in a folder (when rip is a track), then click "Load folder ..." (Ctrl-F). Press
Start (F9). To get the result, the program must be closed and then a report and a spectrogram of suspicious files will appear in the source folder
If the you downloaded distribution contains the auCDtect Task manager log and you doubt its authenticity, then this is easy to check. Press "Check Log" (Alt-V) and paste the copied log. Press
Verify and see the result. The log is genuine. Let's try to change the text a little. The result is in the screenshot.
Before creating the torrent file, the reports and spectrograms from the distribution are REMOVED!
